Questions restaurant owners actually ask.
Straight answers about costs, verification, referrer rules, disputes, and payouts.
How much does Flavorites Business cost?
Claiming and managing your restaurant storefront is free. Referral campaigns are prepaid performance marketing: you fund a campaign wallet with a $100 minimum top-up and set a fixed bounty per verified visit, starting at $4. The referrer reward and the Flavorites platform fee are included in the bounty. There's no subscription and no per-click charge. Full pricing details.
Do I need to integrate with my POS or change checkout?
No. Verification is a QR scan in the Flavorites Business iOS app plus a typed order subtotal. There's no POS integration, no menu discount, and customers pay exactly as they always have.
Who can refer customers to my restaurant?
Only Flavorites users who have saved your restaurant as one of their Flavorites. You can also require a minimum follower count or limit a campaign to a private list of invited referrers. More on referrer rules.
How do I know a referred visit actually happened?
The customer arrives with a one-time QR visit pass tied to your restaurant. Your owner or authorized staff scans it in the app and enters the order subtotal. Nothing is verified — and no money moves — unless your team confirms the visit in person.
Can I pay only for first-time customers?
Yes. Campaigns reward all referred customers by default, but you can enable first-time-only mode so a customer earns a reward only on their first verified Flavorites visit to your restaurant.
Can I require a minimum order size?
Yes. You can set a minimum order subtotal per campaign. Staff enter the subtotal at QR verification, and the visit only qualifies if it meets your minimum.
What stops fraud and self-referrals?
QR passes are one-time use and expire after 7 days. Customers and referrers must be different people, your employees can't earn rewards at your own restaurant, one reward is allowed per table or receipt, and every reward is held in a 72-hour dispute window before it's released. High-volume spikes trigger review by the Flavorites team.
What happens if I dispute a redemption?
Every reward stays pending for 72 hours after verification. If you dispute it within that window, the Flavorites team reviews the redemption before any reward is released to the referrer.
Can my budget overrun?
No. Campaigns are prepaid from a campaign wallet, a campaign can't activate unless the wallet covers at least one bounty, and it pauses automatically when the balance falls below the bounty. Every wallet movement is recorded in a double-entry ledger you can review in the app.
How do referrers get paid?
Flavorites pays referrers, not you. After the dispute window, rewards become available and are paid in weekly batches through Stripe Connect once a referrer reaches the $25 payout threshold. Stripe Connect also supports tax reporting.
What can my employees do in the app?
Employees get a focused verification role: they can scan QR visit passes for your restaurant and enter the order amount, optionally tagging items from your menu highlights. They can't manage campaigns, wallets, payouts, drops, or your storefront profile.
My restaurant isn't on Flavorites yet. Can I still join?
Yes. Create your restaurant page in the Flavorites Business app. New pages are reviewed by the Flavorites team — typically within 24–48 hours — before going live for diners in the consumer app. How claiming works.
Still curious? The best way to see it is to claim your page.
It's free, and you're never obligated to run a campaign.
